Maybe you have noticed granules collecting in your gutters, or you keep patching the same leak after every heavy rain. When a roof reaches the end of its service life, spot repairs stop making sense, and a full new roof installation becomes the smarter investment. This is the work we do every day, and we approach each project with a clear methodology designed to protect your home for decades.

What a Complete New Roof Installation Includes

A new roof is far more than a fresh layer of shingles. When we install a roof, we address the entire assembly from the decking up. That means inspecting the wood sheathing for rot or soft spots, replacing damaged sections, and installing a proper underlayment system that acts as a secondary water barrier beneath the shingles. We add ice-and-water shield in vulnerable areas such as valleys, eaves, and around penetrations where leaks most often begin.

We use GAF materials because, as a GAF Master Elite contractor, we can offer warranty coverage that other companies cannot. Many companies will bid low and cut corners to be profitable. That is not our philosophy.

Situations Where a New Roof Makes Sense

Different homeowners come to us for different reasons, and each scenario calls for a slightly different plan. Consider the following common cases we handle:

  • Storm and hail damage: When wind lifts shingles or hail bruises the mat, insurance often covers a full replacement. We have licensed adjusters on staff to keep the insurance companies honest and accountable so your home is repaired like new.
  • Aging roofs past warranty: A roof that is twenty or more years old often shows curling, cracking, and granule loss. Replacing it before it fails prevents interior water damage.
  • Home sales and inspections: Buyers and inspectors flag worn roofs quickly. A new roof with a transferable warranty can strengthen a sale.
  • Energy efficiency upgrades: Modern shingles and improved attic ventilation reduce heat buildup, which helps lower cooling costs during hot months.
  • Additions and remodels: New construction and expansions require a roof that matches and integrates with existing structures.

The Technical Standards Behind Our Work

Proper installation is where roofs succeed or fail. Nail placement, fastener count, and shingle alignment all follow strict manufacturer specifications. Overdriven nails, incorrect nailing zones, or missing starter strips are among the most common reasons roofs leak or void their warranties.

Ventilation is another detail many contractors overlook. A balanced system of intake vents at the soffits and exhaust vents at the ridge keeps the attic cool and dry, extending shingle life and preventing moisture problems. We calculate the correct ventilation for each home rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

How We Handle Payment and Project Phases

We ask for no money upfront, no material deposits, nothing until each stage of the job is complete and our customer is satisfied. Generally, we consider phase one to be the roof installation and collect payment once it is finished. Additional phases depend on the scope of work and agreed-upon contract, which could include but is not limited to gutter installation, house siding, painting, and windows. This structure protects you from the horror stories of homeowners who handed over a deposit and never heard from their contractor again.

Our guiding principles are simple: do everything to the best of our ability using the best material possible, stand behind our work and make any rare mistake right no matter what, and never ask for payment before you are satisfied. These principles helped The Roofer Direct grow from our Atlanta, Georgia national headquarters into a company recognized across many regions, including Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Peachtree Corners, & Johns Creek, GA.

Warranties and Peace of Mind

As a GAF Master Elite contractor, a distinction that only two percent of roofing contractors in North America have earned, we offer a fifty-year non-prorated shingle warranty instead of the standard thirty-year prorated coverage. We also provide the GAF Silver Pledge warranty, a ten-year labor warranty backed by GAF. If anything ever happened to our company and we could not address your problem, GAF would send another Master Elite contractor to make the repair. With our A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, you can trust your new roof installation to a company that stands behind every shingle.
