What GAF President’s Club Status Really Means
When you start comparing roofing contractors, you will notice a wide range of credentials on their websites. Some of these are easy to obtain, and a few are earned only after years of consistent work. If you are trying to sort the genuine from the ordinary, GAF President’s Club status is one of the clearest signals you can look for. It sits at the very top of the credential ladder from GAF, North America’s largest and oldest roofing manufacturer, and it tells you a great deal about the company standing behind your roof.
Here is the short version. GAF certifies contractors at several levels. Master Elite is already an exclusive tier that only about two percent of roofing contractors in North America ever reach. President’s Club is the level above that. Less than half of Master Elite contractors qualify for President’s Club status. To put it plainly, you are looking at a very small group of companies nationwide, and The Roofer Direct is proud to be among them. GAF wants this recognition showcased, because it is not something a company can simply pay for. It has to be earned and then maintained year after year.

The Three Pillars Behind the President’s Club Badge
GAF does not hand out President’s Club status for a single strong year or a nice-looking portfolio. The recognition is built on three measured areas, and a contractor must show excellence in all three at once. Falling short in any single category keeps a company out of the club entirely. That is what makes the badge meaningful when you see it on our work.
The three areas GAF evaluates are:
- Performance: This measures the volume and quality of qualifying GAF roofing systems installed. It is proof that a contractor works with the right materials consistently, not occasionally.
- Reliability: This looks at how long a company has held its certifications, its financial stability, and its track record. It rewards contractors who stay in business, honor their warranties, and remain accountable over time.
- Service: This is measured largely through GAF customer surveys sent directly to homeowners. To hold Master Elite status, and certainly President’s Club, we must maintain strong five-star ratings from the homeowners we work with. If those ratings slip, the status is at risk.
That last point deserves attention. The surveys go straight to you, the homeowner, not through us. GAF asks about your experience from first contact through final cleanup. This keeps The Roofer Direct honest and gives you a direct voice in whether we keep our credentials. It is one of the few systems in this industry where the manufacturer holds the contractor answerable to the customer.
How President’s Club and the Silver Pledge Protect You
Credentials only matter if they translate into real protection for your home. This is where the President’s Club status connects to the warranties you receive. As a GAF Master Elite contractor, we can offer a fifty-year non-pro-rated warranty on your shingles, instead of the standard thirty-year pro-rated warranty you would get if the same shingles were installed by a non-certified company. That difference alone can be worth a great deal over the life of your roof.
Beyond that, our standing allows us to offer the GAF Silver Pledge warranty. This includes a ten-year labor warranty backed by GAF itself. Think about what that means in practice. If something ever happened to our company and we could not fix a problem, you would simply contact GAF, and they would send another Master Elite contractor to complete the repair. The badge signifies a commitment to installing roofing systems that qualify for GAF’s best warranties, and we take that commitment seriously on every job.
The Standards That Earned Us This Recognition
We did not reach this level by accident. From the beginning, we made firm decisions to run our company differently than our competitors. Many companies will bid low and cut corners to stay profitable. That is not our philosophy. By eliminating the middleman, we are able to offer higher-quality products and higher-quality installations, and that quality is exactly what GAF measures when it evaluates President’s Club candidates.
Three guiding principles built our company, and they still drive every roof we install today:
- Do everything to the best of our ability: We cut no corners and use the best material available, not the least expensive.
- Stand behind our work: In the rare event we make a mistake, we make it right no matter what.
- Ask for no money upfront: No deposits, nothing until each stage of the job is complete and you are satisfied. Phase one is generally the roof repair or installation, with payment collected only once it is finished. Additional phases depend on the scope of the contract and may include gutter installation, house siding, painting, windows, and more. This alleviates the horror stories of homeowners who handed over a deposit and never heard from their contractor again.
A National Company You Can Trust
The Roofer Direct was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, which remains our national headquarters, and we have since expanded across Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Peachtree Corners, & Johns Creek, GA and beyond into a recognized national company. Along the way, we passed the rigorous exam of the International Code Council, the governing body of building codes across the country, and we earned our GAF Master Elite title through an extensive vetting process.
Today we stand as one of the nation’s premier storm restoration contractors, with licensed adjusters on staff to keep insurance companies honest and accountable, and to make sure your home is repaired like new. We hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. So whether your home has storm damage or you simply have an old roof that needs replacing, the President’s Club badge on our work is your assurance that you are dealing with a roofing company you can genuinely trust.
